Buena Vista Angels

We work with and invest in companies and teams we believe will truly impact the world. Aside from capital, our biggest value-adds are experience sharing and network sharing. Our members are based all across the US and Canada with very diverse backgrounds and skill sets. Some are Founders of startups, some are Management at seasoned companies, and others are VCs and professional investors. However, all share the common passion of learning about and working with innovative companies with ground-breaking solutions.

BUENA VISTA FUNDS

In 2014, the Buena Vista Angels created our first side-car fund: Buena Vista Fund I. The Fund made direct investments in companies through a structured diligence and voting process. Members usually have the option to add on personal investment under the same terms. The smallest investment (Fund I + Members) was $25,000 and the largest (Fund I + Members) was $700,000. To date, three companies had an Exit, one company failed, and remaining companies are active with an average valuation of 3x our basis.

July 2018, we closed our second fund, Buena Vista Fund II. Membership grew from 13 to 25 and the fund size doubled.

November 2021, we launched Fund III expanding to 50 members and increasing fund size 4x to that of Fund II.
